Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety box office collection day 35: The comedy film rakes in Rs 106.77 crore

Director Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety has ended its fifth week on a winning note at the box office. Despite facing stiff competitions from Bollywood biggies like Raid and Hichki, the romantic comedy remained super strong at the ticket window. SKTKS raked in Rs 54 lakhs yesterday and currently stands with the grand total of Rs 106.77 crore.

Starring Kartik Aaryan, Sunny Singh and Nushrat Bharucha in titular roles of Sonu, Titu, and Sweety, respectively, the film has been unstoppable on the box office since its release on February 23. The comedy flick, which revolves around the lifelong war between friendship and love, is helmed by Luv Ranjan and also stars Alok Nath in a pivotal role of Titu’s sassy grandfather. The film is currently the second highest grosser of the year after Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat.
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety marks the fourth collaboration between director Luv Ranjan and actors Kartik Aaryan and Nushrat Bharucha after Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Akaash Vani and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. Produced by Krishan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar, under the banner of T-Series, along with Ankur Garg, the film has already become the biggest hit of its lead actors along with director Luv Ranjan. Despite not starring any A-List actors, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety turned to be a huge box office success for its makers. SKTKS dominated new releases due to its universally accepted plot and bang-on comic punches.

Akshara Haasan: I would love to romance Shah Rukh Khan onscreen!

I recently caught up with Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter who is all geared up to make her acting debut with Shamitabh. Unlike most celebs, I found her very sweet and unpretentious. And as we started conversing, her eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. Read on to know how our chat turned out to be…

akshara-haasan photos

Akshara Haasan will be seen opposite two biggies – Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush in R Balki’s upcoming directorial venture Shamitabh which is slated to release next month on February 6. Considering the film stars two mighty actors, one would expect the young lass to be worried about being overshadowed by them. However, Akshara isn’t. In fact, she never thought in her wildest dreams that she would get to work with Big B and the Raanjhanaa actor in her very first film. Well, that’s how I started the conversation and asked the pretty lady her first reaction on being offered Shamitabh. Here’s what she said…

It’s a dream debut considering you worked with Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush in your first film Shamitabh. What was your first reaction when R Balki offered you the film?

(Smiles)… When Shamitabh came to me, I actually didn’t think I would get this kind of opportunity in my very first film. I thought I would probably get it after 20 to 30 films because we are talking about Mr Bachchan, R Balki and Dhanush. It’s huge for me because I honestly didn’t expect Shamitabh to be my first film. I connected instantly to the script and to the character. So I am just thankful that I got this film.

In one of your interviews you said that you were intimidated by both – Big B and Dhanush. So did you break the ice on the sets?

More than breaking the ice, they broke the ice and that helped me so much because I look up to them. In fact, so many times I got stuck, forgot the scenes and dialogues because I was really intimidated and scared by Mr Bachchan. I wasn’t intimidated before, it was only when I got on set and saw him because you know…his presence is so powerful. And I think it was more of nervousness and fear that I shouldn’t mess it. With Balki Sir, he just told me that when you’re on set, they are just actors and that really helped me. Also, all the credit goes to Mr Bachchan and Dhanush for breaking the wall because as a newcomer you can’t cross certain lines with them. All credit to them, they made me feel so much at ease. When I was on the sets, the rest of the world would seize to exist. And when Amitabh Sir and Dhanush did the same, it helped me even more.

But at any point were you apprehensive about the fact that these two stalwarts might overshadow you in the film?

See, as a newcomer we already strive to say, ‘Please come and see my work.’ We strive to make that impression and to make an impact on the audience. We strive to do that every day. So for me it was like, ‘I have to prove a point.’ It’s already there in back of my mind that I have to prove point with every film I do. I have to show what I am capable of as an actor. When it came to Mr Bachchan and Dhanush, I felt I needed to show them what I am capable of doing as a actor because that will make them understand what kind of actor I and then they will know what to get out of me or where to push me further. Same is the case with Balki Sir because that made things easier. For me, I focused on what was in front of me. I really felt that I had blinkers on. All would think is, ‘dude, this the scene so get into the character and do it right. Do it the way Balki Sir wants and give it your 100 percent and be disciplined.’ So I was focusing on that rather than letting the intimidation or fear get the better of me. There were some days when I was down in the dumps and I knew I could fall back on Balki Sir. I also had Mr Bachchan and Dhanush to fall back on because as a team they all were supportive of me and were so understanding. That helped me perform better and also made me grow into a better person.

How does it feel when a supremely talented director like R Balki says that “Akshara is born to act”?

I am honestly very honoured that he said that and it makes me feel encouraged. You know, the feeling that I get, I really can’t explain it in words. It’s more than grateful, more than thankful and more than encouraging. It’s a mixture of these kinds of emotions that take it to another level. I don’t know what else to say (smiles).

Both Dhanush and Amitabh Bachchan have worked with your family remembers. Did they tell anything about then before you started shooting?

No, nothing actually. We believe in the fact that everyone has different equations with everybody. I have my own equation with Dhanush, Mr Bachchan and Balki Sir. So they didn’t say anything, they have their own equations with their contemporaries and with other actors. And who knows mine equation will be very different from theirs. So they gave me freedom to develop my equation because everyone’s mind functions differently.

Did you and Dhanush bond on the sets talking about South films since you both have been exposed to that industry?

Actually, we all bonded on one common ground – cinema. It doesn’t matter whether it’s Bollywood, Hollywood or Tollywood, for me cinema is cinema. So we did bond on that because no matter in what language it is, every kind of cinema conveys emotions.

When you become an actor, a lot of other things come along – link-ups, controversies, invasion of privacy and what not. So how have you prepared yourself for that? Has your mother or sister given you any advice?

Ever since I have grown up, I have known that there is other side as well. I have seen that while growing up and as a person I am very private. If you ask me something personal, I would honestly tell you to please refrain from talking about it. Because I am a very private person, closed person in that ways. I am bit of an introvert.

Also, comparisons are bound to happen with your sister Shruti Haasan. How are you going to tackle that?

It’s unfair but I know comparisons do happen. Even in daily life, people have come up to me and said that you look so much like your mother which is just normal and you just say ‘thank you.’ And if people see my film and compare me with my sister I would be like, ‘Oh my gosh, thank you.’ But I also want to strive and get an individual recognition apart from my lineage and legacy. I would love to carry my lineage and legacy as an individual that is just Akshara. Not as someone’s daughter or sister. As for comparisons, I would take it in positive way. At least, I feel I will be making my family proud.

Directing is something you have been passionate about for a long time but how did acting happened?

I am originally a dancer so my first love is dance then direction and acting. I am honestly lucky to have these three fields with which I can have a love affair. Coming to acting, it didn’t happen by chance. I was actually not ready to be an actor; I decided to be one around a year or a year-and-half ago. Shortly after I decided to be an actor, I got Shamitabh. I wasn’t ready to be an actor because it’s a different ball game altogether. In fact, I still have to explore a lot more.

So will we get to see your ‘dancer’ side in Shamitabh?

Ahhh… you’ll have to see the film to find out (smiles)

Okay, tell us who is hotter – Dhanush or Amitabh Bachchan?

Tough choice, unfair question (laughs).

As a fan if you had to pick then….

I would then say Dhanush!

One thing that you discovered about your co-stars while working with them which surprised you…

Our humour is similar, all three of us actually. I never thought we’ll have that in common.

One thing that you picked up by observing both your co-stars…

It’s hard to say because I still haven’t learned enough. Shamitabh was enough for me to pick and learn from them (smiles). But one thing that I picked up was how they transformed into their character and it was just beautiful to see. Jaan de dete hain pura character mein….and that’s what I loved.

Will we see you working with any of your family members soon? Have any such offers been made?

No, there haven’t been offers as yet. But I hope at some point in the future we do get the opportunity to work together. But I would like to wait till five films down the line and when I am ready. I would be wonderful to actually work with my family. It would be different and interesting to see how we work on the set leaving aside the fact that we are family.

Three things that people don’t know about you

I am a huge prankster but in a good way, I am very sporty and I am a very curious soul.

You have already worked with R Balki, which directors do you want to work with next?

Balki Sir was always on my list, apart from him, Vishal Bhardwaj, Mr Rahul Dholakia and the list goes on…

One actor you want to romance onscreen?

Shah Rukh Khan. Dil garden garden ho jata hai unko dekh ke (smiles)

Have you met him?

Yes, twice actually and the second time I got to work with him as an AD. First time I met him during the shooting of Hey Ram and second time when I was as an AD for a Nerolac commercial which had Huma Qureshi. He is just so warm that I can’t begin to tell you.

Lastly, anything lined-up after Shamitabh?

No, not as of now.

Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan criticise Karan Johar for AIB Roast!

The All India Bakchod’s celebrity roast show AIB Knockout hasn’t gone down well with the Khans
Reports suggest that both Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are upset with Karan Johar‘s involvement in the roast show of Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, videos of which were later uploaded on YouTube. They both allegedly called up the Student Of The Year director to express their disapproval regarding Karan’s presence at the roast especially with his mother Hiroo Johar sitting in the front row. Both the Khans asked KJo how he could make jokes like he did in front of his mother like that.

But after having shot the show with the All India Bakchod team and watching the video on YouTube, KJo told his close friends that his mother had no problems with the jokes that were being cracked on the show. In fact she enjoyed the AIB roast a lot!

Karan Johar played the roast master on the AIB Knockout and the most scandalous moment for the audience was when Ranveer smooched KJo on stage, a scene which was edited out from the show video on YouTube. Day before yesterday the All India Bakchod team had taken the roast.

Yaariyan Movie Review

Watch Yaariyan only if you are bored to death. Or if you’re in college and your hormones are driving you crazy. Everyone else should give this one a miss – you will thank us later.

Yaariyan Movie Review

For the longest time I haven’t been subjected to a film that is so mind-numbing. Divya Khosla Kumar’s Yaariyan will remind you a bit of Main Hoon Na and Student of The Year. But sadly, this college rom-com is no match to Farah Khan and Karan Johar’s hit films

Divya Khosla Kumar’s directorial debut Yaariyan stars Himansh Kholi, Serah Singh, Rakul Preet Singh, Nicole Faria, Gulshan Grover and Deepti Naval. The movie revolves around four college friends who are pretty much good for nothing. Lakshya (Himansh) is desperate to experience his first kiss, but something goes wrong every time he aims to get it. What’s bizarre is that the entire college is gung-ho about Himansh’s first kiss. It doesn’t end there, with the youngsters. Even the teachers suffer from some hormonal locha and cannot keep their hands off each other. I am glad that I haven’t come across any such college in my life! The story shifts from the touchy mode to sports, Australia, racial attacks, patriotism and lots of cleavage popping out of the screen into your face. Divya tries to incorporate too many issues into one plot. That’s why Yaariyan failed to make any impact on me. Maybe collegegoers won’t mind watching a film that hardly makes sense. After all, class bunk marke thodi na koi meaningful picture dekhne jayega!

What’s good about Yaariyan?

Hands down it has to be the music and then the cinematography. The songs are peppy and colourful and will certainly cheer you up every time you regret walking into the theatre. And Yo Yo Honey Singh’s special number is delicious icing on the cake. As for the cinematography – the film has been shot in virgin and unexplored parts of Darjeeling and in Australia. The locales are beautiful and will make you go ‘wow’. There is a motorcycle and bicycle race scene that has been shot brilliantly. Also, the first half is tolerable thanks to some good comic punches. Performance wise, Himansh Kholi is decent and the rest are just okay.

What’s bad about Yaariyan?

The most important element – the script! There is too much happening at one point and then suddenly there is nothing happening at all beyond the bosom popping. Brilliant actors like Deepti Naval and Gulshan Grover are wasted. Also, newbie Himansh Kholi needs to work on his ever-smiling face. He flashes his million dollar grin in every frame, which soon gets very, very irritating.

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s love affair is no new?

Did Katrina Kaif turn down Ranbir Kapoor’s marriage proposal?

Did Katrina Kaif turn down Ranbir Kapoor’s marriage proposal?

A lot has been said about Kat and Ranbir being engaged and eventually planning to settle down. But as per the latest buzz wethinks that isn’t going to happen at all…

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s love affair is no news. Though neither of them have confirmed being in a relationship, their not-so-secret Spanish holiday gave away all the answers. What further assured us about their romance were Kareena Kapoor Khan’s candid confessions on Koffee with Karan 4. We all remember the ‘sister-in-law’ remark made by Bebo on KWK, no? But all this fuss over Kat-Ranbir’s shaadi is pointless coz we have learnt that the Jagga Jasoos co-stars want to focus only on their work and nothing else. Apparently, RK was heard telling this to a friend while he was rehearsing for Filmfare Awards. That’s not all!

According to rumour mills, the Kapoor lad even said that her alleged girlfriend is more ambitious than him and hence he doesn’t want their rishta to create problems for her Bollywood career. Awww…Ranboo is so understanding, hai na? But does that mean Katrina is the one who isn’t ready to tie the knot? Did Ranbir propose to his ladylove but got turned down? Going by the remarks that have reached our ears, it certainly looks like that.

Top Hit Films of 2013

Top Bollywood Hit Films of 2013

2013 is all set to end soon and the year proved to be extremely prolific for the bollywood industry. 2013 saw many films making huge business at the box-office and a few films even managed to cross the much-hyped 100cr club, and reached the brand new 200cr club.

We at 4bollywoodlovers.com list down the top 5 hits film of 2013 according to their business made at the Box-office:

1: ‘Dhoom 3’

Dhoom 3 Top Bollywood Hit Films of 2013

Cast: Aamir Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Uday Chopra, Katrina Kaif

The year finally ended with a ‘Dhoom’. ‘D3’ has collected Rs. 233cr in just a few days and the film is still running strong in the theatres. This flick will surely break the box-office records and that’s why it has reached the No. 1 position in our list.

What was Good: ‘Dhoom 3’ is the most stylish thriller made till date. Aamir Khan’s acting was mind-blowing and Kat’s Kamli act impressed the audiences.

What was Bad: The length of the movie is big and even the music was not that impressive. Screenplay could have been better as it fails to keep us hooked. Even the chasing sequences are too long.

2: ‘Krrish 3’

Krrish 3 Top Bollywood Hit Films of 2013

Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Vivek Oberoi, Priyanka Chopra, Kangna Ranaut

Slammed by critics but still ‘Krrish 3’ managed to collect Rs. 240cr and has reached to the second position in our list.

What was Good: Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut’s acting was superb in the film. Both the actors were surely one reason that the movie did wonders at the box-office. The VFX in the films were amazing.

What was Bad: Rakesh Roshan failed to impress the audiences with his direction. Even the songs were disappointing and picturization of the songs were pale.

3: ‘Chennai Express’

Chennai Express Top Bollywood Hit Films of 2013

Cast: Deepika Padukone, Shahrukh Khan

At number three, we have Rohit Shattey’s ‘Chennai Express’ which collected Rs. 226cr at the box-office.

What was Good: ‘CE’ was a full-on Rohit Shetty style action comedy. Deepika Padukone’s South Indian accent and SRK’s innocent acting impressed everyone very well.

What was Bad: Storyline of the film and the screenplay could have been better. Few things looked unrealistic and even the music was not that great.

4: ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’

Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani Top Bollywood Hit Films of 2013

Cast: Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kalki Koechlin

At the fourth position we have ‘YJHD’ with the collection of Rs. 179cr.

What was Good: ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ had a different kind of freshness in the direction of Ayan Mukherji. The film saw ex-flames Ranbir & Deepika coming together onscreen after their break-up and their chemistry worked wonders for the film.

What was Bad: ‘YJHD’ had nothing new when it comes to story. It looked a mixture of many other romantic films.

5: ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’

Ram Leela Top Bollywood Hit Films of 2013

Cast: Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone

With collecting Rs. 113cr, ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ has landed up to the fifth position in our list.

What was Good: ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’ had a lot of positive aspects working in its favour. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s story telling style, music of the film, performances of the actors and the aesthetic element of the film were some of the biggest positive factors of the film.

What was Bad: The film was just stretched on one point with no sensible backdrop and the length could have been cut short. The love story which was told to be passionate had no logical romance except for kissing.

India's First Animated Adult Movie Savita Bhabhi

The erotic cartoon was made into a Hindi film that has now been dubbed for an international audience…

Savita Bhabhi movie now in English!

Savita Bhabhi made a splash with her sheer sexiness and her ability to morph from a simple sari-clad woman to a bombshell with a sex drive to beat any. Her character may have been heavily censored and even outlawed, but it managed to gain a huge fan following very quickly, even through underground routes. And cashing in on her astounding popularity, Savita’s creators made a movie that was a resounding success. But it had a limited audience, since it was in Hindi.

Now the makers of the Hindi version have come up with a new and improved English film that is dubbed by professional Indian voice artistes. This one is aimed at the overseas market and non-Hindi speaking fans of Savita Bhabhi.

According to the creator of the feisty character, this has been done in response to the many requests from international audiences. And now he plans to introduce the sexy lady to a wider range of movie watchers via international film festivals. This film will also be the first ever adult movie from India to me marketed in Hollywood. In addition, the heroine will be spearheading a debate on Internet censorship that could keep social networking sites buzzing for a long time to come. This is gonna be one fun ride, hai na?

Will Hrithik to pay Rs 100 Cr to Sussanne as divorce settlement?

Hundred crore seem to be hot favourite words for Bollywood. Producers have been chasing them for some years now, both for business and popularity. Unfortunately, in this case the figure fails to sketch a happy picture.

If the grapevine in the industry is to be believed, Sussanne Roshan has asked for Rs 100 crore as settlement for a divorce with husband Hrithik. Says an insider, “Sussanne has asked for an amount as alimony. She feels that she has given some of her best years to Hrithik and his family and Rs 100 crore is not a huge amount. Also, part of it will be used for their children’s education and upbringing.
Negotiations are currently on between their lawyers. Time will tell what she receives.”

On December 13, Hrithik had sent out a statement saying that Sussanne had decided to separate from him and end their 17-year relationship.

Mahabharat – 3D Review

Rating: 2/5 Stars (Two Stars)

Voice Cast: Amitabh Bachchan as Bheeshma, Vidya Balan as Draupadi, Ajay Devgn as Arjun, Sunny Deol as Bheem, Anil Kapoor as Karna, Jackie Shroff as Duryodhan, Deepti Naval as Kunti, Vrajesh Hirjee as Dushashan, Shatrughan Sinha as Lord Krishna, Anupam Kher as Shakuni

Mahabharat – 3D Movie Review

Director: Amaan Khan

What’s Good: Revival of the Epic that holds great value for all Indians.

What’s Bad: The animation is definitely poor and the film has no fun value in it.

Loo break: Quite many.

Watch or Not?: Usually I would have given a thumbs up to indigenous works of filmmakers who are trying their hand at something new but with Mahabharat – 3D I was most disappointed. We have seen way better animation films come out of India and this one though undertakes the magnanimity of translating an epic, I will still suggest you to give this one a miss. It isn’t worth ending your year with a shabbily done films like it.

The story of Mahabharat – 3D is something every young or old Indian is fluent with. The story of sibling rivalry between Pandavas and Kauravas which has defined the contours of relationships, the film traps the excitement of interpersonal relationships, the socio-political and mostly personal politics between the conflicting families.

The story that leads to the great war between them in Kurukhshetra is something that Indians hold of great value. Watch and find out about the tumultuous fight of the Pandavas to topple the Kauravas and win the throne  which rightfully belongs to them.

Mahabharat – 3D Review: Script Analysis

The script of Mahabharat – 3D remains the same that the original entails but the execution isn’t praiseworthy at all. The best thing about watching an animation film is to enjoy it and when it isn’t fun enough you tend to lose interest. Though mythological adaptations have been adept for making animation films in India, there is a clear lack of imagination in furthering the narrative in this stint.

It wasn’t elaborate enough and it seemed that the characters were half heartedly done. The makers take it for granted that you are fluent with the story and hence hasn’t indulged much in detailing the plot. The endeavor was clearly half baked. There is no heart in the story despite the poignancy of the epic and it indeed is the maker’s fault that they were so busy making it slick that they forgot to narrate the tale well.

To its credit, the voices have been well picked. I believe a lot of research and hassle-some work has gone into picking the right voices for the roles. Amitabh Bachchan is obviously as iconic as ever but to loop in Sunny Deol and Anil Kapoor, mostly Vidya Balan is work of sheer great voice casting.

Mahabharat – 3D Animation Movie Review

Mahabharat – 3D Review: Star Performances

Amongst the voices, the best rendered are obviously Amitabh Bachchan and Vidya Balan. There is the right pitch, the right tone and the right angst they get to the otherwise mundane characters. Anil Kapoor and Sunny Deol have also done a fantastic job in their respective parts. While they can never be the natural choice for the characters, they do their job to perfection. However, Jackie Shroff was a bit of disappointment for me and so was Deepti Naval.

Mahabharat – 3D Review: Direction, Editing and Screenplay

Amaan Khan does understand the basic premise of a good animation film. With hints of novelty and veins of inventiveness, the film’s originality in terms of direction cannot be questioned. However the animation is poor despite being well-intentioned. It isn’t neat, it isn’t funny and mostly by end it becomes too tedious to be endured. There are barely any hilt moments what with the editing done so bluntly.

Mahabharat – 3D Review: The Last Word

Mahabharat – 3D was not expected to be a work of genius. I wasn’t hoping for another Avatar but I was definitely looking for more meat than what was served to me. Except phenomenal voice casting, the film has very little to gloat about. Don’t waste your time at the theaters on this one and wait for the TV telecast. I am settling for a 2/5 for it. Indian animation can easily show more wild originality than what we got here. Buck up for the next time.

Salman Khan Turns 48th, Happy Birthday

If Aamir Khan is Mr Perfectionist, Shahrukh Khan is the King and Saif Ali Khan is the Nawab, how would describe B-town’s most loved Khan? As Salman turns another year older, let us count the ways….

Salman Khan Turns 48th, Happy Birthday

Salman Khan is best described as a bundle of contradictions. Ask us why. He is mysterious yet open, cool headed but short tempered, warm though intimidating and, of course, extremely good looking. It’s not easy to decode the man or the phenomenon that he is. Those who are his fans swear by the dabangg Khan, no matter whether he is right or wrong – that is never a question that his loyal followers or ardent fans will agree on. So while Aamir Khan says that he needs a script and Shahrukh Khan wants to love his work, all it takes for Salman is brute star power in order to get the cash registers ringing.

Critics may have trashed his films, but neither Sallu nor his fans really care. He is the ultimate ruler of Bollywood’s box office, after all – how else could you describe a man who has become the most searched celebrity in India despite having not a single release this year? You may love him, you may hate him, but you simply cannot ignore Salman Khan.

On his 48th birthday, here are five reasons why Salman Khan is special…

1. Dabangg attitude: It takes a lot of courage to make your debut on a much-talked-about talk show on national television and declare you are a virgin, even as a joke. What followed post Sallu’s now famous debut on Koffee with Karan 4 was debate, discussion and analysis of what the actor said. And then there were the imitators – Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor doing a ‘Salman’, all with great love and respect, of course. So if we were all smiles when he talked about his ex-girlfriends, Salman made our jaws drop with that one statement. Were we surprised with the Bodyguard hero’s ‘quotable quotes’? Koi shaq?

2. Salman style: Whether he wears bell-bottomed pants or his trademark monkey-wash jeans (both of which are passé, fashion pundits declare) he will look endearing. Only Salman can carry off those bejewelled belts, bizarre shoes and the long coloured hair. And yes, for Salman lovers, what is a film if his ‘lucky’ turquoise bracelet doesn’t make a special appearance, hai na?

3. Rs 100 crore record: Deepika Padukone can celebrate this year, and wethinks she must thank Salman Khan, at least a little. After all, if Salman had had even one release this year, we’re damn sure he would be the flavour of this season and the talk of tinseltown, just as he was last year, the year before and the previous year too. And for all those fans who were deprived of their favourite actor on 70mm, wait until January. Jai Ho!

4. Controversy’ favourite child: His good looks may be a part of his superstardom, but it is his tryst with controversy time and again that makes him the ultimate poster boy. We are not sure whether Sallu makes a hero look like a normal man, or whether his off screen life earns him sympathy and empathy, but it does make the superstar seem vulnerable and very human. And if Salman dreads court hearings and police encounters, we are sure his fans are behind him all the way.

5. Being Human: His philanthropy is as well known as his filmography, whether he visits an injured stuntmen in hospital or buys a bus for an underprivileged children’s school. Salman’s every good deed makes news. His Being Human foundation has expanded to champion various causes including cancer, literacy and more. But what’s unique about the star is that his generosity also extends through his filmi family. Launching newcomers, supporting their films, helping youngsters get into the right shape for a debut… the actor has played godfather for more aspiring actors that we can count and helped relaunch some fading careers – Govinda comes to mind here. Most recently, he chose to delay the promotions of his own film Jai Ho, allowing his friend Aamir Khan’s Dhoom:3 to take precedence. We’re sure Salman is a friend in need and that’s what makes him a friend indeed!

‘TERE NAINA MAAR HI DAALENGE’ Song From ‘JAI HO’

‘TERE NAINA MAAR HI DAALENGE’ Song From ‘JAI HO’

The wait is finally over. The lead actress of ‘Jai Ho’, Daisy Shah, is revealed in the romantic track ‘Tere Naina Maar Hi Daalenge’ from the film.

The song is strictly ok, but it’s the locale of the song which impresses us. Salman looks handsome as always and Daisy looks beautiful in the song. Her pairing with Salman looks good. However the chemistry between them could have been better.

Check out the song below:
