Bullett Raja is an upcoming Hindi film which is an action entertainer, written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and produced by Rahul Mittra, Nitin Tej Ahuja and Tigmanshu Dhulia, under the banner of BrandSmith Motion Pictures and Moving Pictures. The film is presented by Fox Star Studios. The film will feature Saif Ali Khan, Sonakshi Sinha and Jimmy Shergill in leading roles, whilst Chunky Pandey, Ravi Kishan, Gulshan Grover and Vidyut Jamwal will feature in pivotal roles. 'Jackpot' is a very nice family movie that everyone can watch : Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone says her coming film 'Jackpot' doesn’t require censorship, as it is a very nice family movie that everyone can watch.
The censor board has axed "Eggjactly" from being used in Sunny Leone starrer Jackpot. However the Indo-Canadian adult film star says it is a family film and doesn't "require censorship".

The 32-year-old, who has shot some bold scenes for the movie, admits that it's censor board's job to see what's suitable for young adults to watch.

At the same time, she feels that "Jackpot" "is not an A-certificate movie. So, they have to be really careful on what the subject matter is."

“But I don't think there is anything in the movie that requires censorship. It's a very nice family movie that everyone can watch," added the actress who entered Bollywood with erotic thriller "Jism 2".

She was speaking at the music launch of the film Saturday.

 

Meanwhile, director Kaizad Gustad is upset with the censor board for banning "Eggjactly", by Javed Jaffrey.

"It's unnecessary. I don't understand why the song has been banned - it's funny and there is humour in it. It is not anything personal it is about the whole country. He (Javed) has not attacked any one person," Gustad said.

"The censor board should have some sense of humour. It's just a funny song and he has not offended anybody. He has been very careful to avoid personal attacks," Gustad added.

The film's actor-producer Sachiin Joshi feels he is being targeted.

"I seriously think it's somebody's ploy against me and I am being targeted," he said reacting to the ban on the song.

"Jackpot" has been shot in Goa and also stars Naseeruddin Shah. It hits theatres Dec 13.

Anupam Kher joined the cast of the Happy New Year!

The veteran actor joined the cast of Farah Khan’s forthcoming movie at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios.....

Shahrukh Khan starrer Happy New Year has already won positive reactions from the baap of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan. Big B who was recently shooting for his next Bhoothnath Returns at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios was only happy to meet Farah Khan’s team of Happy New Year-starring SRK, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood and Boman Irani. The cast of HNY showed the rushes of the movie to the megastar who gave his instant thumbs up to the venture.

And after Bachchan’s visit another veteran who actor landed on the sets of HNY was Anupam Kher. “Well, today it was actor par excellence Anupam Khan joined the cast of the film. 

Posting a picture on twitter, Farah said, “#HNY welcomes @AnupamPkher who joins our cast 2day..thank u Anupam.V love u,” tweeted director Farah Khan with this lovely picture.

Looks like some big stars in the industry are curious to find out how happy does the unit of HNY look while having a good time on the sets.

'Dhoom 3' trailer gets 12 million hits so far

Our pick of the trailer this month is Vijay Krishna Acharya's 'Dhoom 3'. Popularly known as Victor, he has earlier directed Tashan. What makes this trailer special was that unlike the past two 'Dhoom' films, which were all glossy but stayed away from the emotion and the drama, the third film in the franchise surprised us with Aamir Khan, the young kid and Jackie Shroff bringing in the unexpected emotion, while retaining the glamour quotient. Excerpts from our conversation with the filmmaker on why he believes the trailer works:

"Dhoom is a franchise that has a certain expectation from it. The trailer managed to show the audience that we were different this time even though we remained in the larger Dhoom world. When we made the original Dhoom, we wanted to make a film that would not bore us and wanted it to be just a breezy cool film. The fact that we chose to stay away from romance, drama and emotion, which was unconventional in the format of Hindi cinema, worked for it. Moving ahead, we needed to carve out a new path. What has worked this time is the fact that the trailer defied expectation and delivered something that you did not expect. There was Aamir, the kid and Jackie that you did not expect in the world of Dhoom. You expect Dhoom to be glossy, but don't expect drama from it. The best compliment I got was a from a group of ushers at the trailer launch who, after getting their pictures clicked with Aamir, said to me, 'Sir, phaadu hai!'"

This might come as a surprise to most of you, but apparently Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is not happy in the Bachchan house and is planning to move out of the family ghar very soon. At least, that’s what some gossip aunties in the B-town have been saying. Word is that the Bachchan bahu wants to movie into a separate home along with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan and pyaari beti Aaradhya.

What is the reason, you ask? The same saaas-bahu jhagda. Our birdie from Juhu tells us that Ash doesn’t share a good vibe with her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan. Apparently, the former MIss World is unhappy about her saas interfering with her personal life and for keeping a constant tab on her activities. Jaya aunty expects her bahu to update on everything, including professional matters – which she finds nagging.

We don’t know how true is this, but considering Jaya B’s nasty behaviour at media events which had had journalists troubled in the past, wethinks the glamorous bahurani must have been feeling the heat at the Bachchan parivaar ka ghar and just can’t take it any more. We would prefer to believe that all is happy and hunky-dory, but have to report what we hear, hai na? And until someone tells us that this story is a buncha hooey, we keep our fingers crossed…

Deepika Padukone becomes the highest paid actress in bollywood!

Guess who’s given five back-to-back hits this already? Aamir, Shahrukh? Nah! It’s Miss Padukone who’s been doing the high scoring jigs at the box office. Cocktail, Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and now Ram Leela. 5 of them have crossed the 100 crore mark and the recent has certainly has the utmost potential to cross it.

If rumours are to be believed, the makers have already lined up to sign her making her the highest paid actress in Bollywood!

Trade experts now strongly believe that Deepika is a very safe bet at the ticket windows. ”She can be counted in the hero’s league,” says a trade analyst.

Another trade expert is more wary in his assessment and says, “Deepika has come a long way from the days of her plain Jane avatar in her debut film OM SHANTI OM. Today, she is a sex goddess. She has worked her way up. She should continue to work with big stars in woman-oriented films.”

An insider further adds, “Deepika Padukone in all her films is a delight to look at and her performance has more nuances. It would be extremely difficult to figure which film to nominate her for”.

Interestingly, Deepika too has decided to make hay while the sun shines and has hiked her fees, thus making her the highest paid actress n Hindi film industry..

Raju Srivastava will play Gutthi on 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'?

If sources are to be believed, in all probability, Raju Srivastava will play Gutthi in the satirical show 'Comedy Nights With Kapil'.

After Sunil Grover's exit from the show, speculations were doing the rounds on who will be the next Gutthi on the show and in all probability it will be Raju Srivastava entertaining the audience with his one-liners.

As per our source, "Raju ji has been approached by the Colors channel to play Gutthi on the show and he is keen on accepting the offer as he shares good rapport with Kapil, since both were part of another comedy reality series The Great Indian Laughter Challenge together. He has also been approached for a new comedy show on Star Plus but he is in favour of Kapil's show."

Raju Srivastava has been entertaining the audience since long. Perhaps he can be the best choice to recreate the charm of Gutthi on show again and add some more humour with his signature comic style.

You were the big draw of Comedy Nights with Kapil but your demand for a hike didn't go down well the channel.

My contract was getting over and that's why I started negotiations with the channel and what followed left a bad taste because I was simply asking for I hike I deserved. Initially it was a straight 'No', later they told me to 'work on freelance basis' and finally agreed to my terms. This process went on for a month during which they introduced new characters that they hoped would be as popular. Unfortunately, they did not succeed and I had had enough. But now they don't want me to take the character to another show. If your wife leaves you, don't you have the right to remarry? But I wasn't a wife, only a 'no strings attached prostitute' who was given a stipulated time to carry out a job.

Buzz is, Kapil Sharma has created all the characters in the show

I refuse to believe this because he didn't tell me so. But let me clarify that I created Guthi. I had used the name Guthi in Comedy Circus earlier. I was hired to play multiple characters in Comedy Nights With Kapil when suddenly one day the creative team decided I should play Guthi.

No, there was no problem between us. Sometimes, people around you try to create misunderstandings.

Guthi's popularity apparently made Kapil insecure.

Fortunately or unfortunately, the show is named after Kapil. He is the monitor of the class. There were days when we didn't speak to each other, but that was because we were preoccupied. Let me leave with dignity. I didn't even announce my withdrawal. In fact, I did seven episodes even after my contract ended. The show gave me the biggest platform to showcase my acting potential. But today, I can say that I saved the broadcasters by voluntarily opting out. Guthi could take on different forms as a result of which the character grew bigger by the time. A time may have come when they would have felt impelled to clip my wings.

You plan to take Guthi to a rival channel.

I've been getting a lot of offers since I opted out. This is the best phase of my career, why shouldn't I cash in on it? I reserve the right to take my art and skills further. Salim-Javed gave Amitabh Bachchan the name Vijay, I gave myself the name Guthi. If Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan could play Vijay and Rahul in so many movies, why can't I play Guthi again? The channel has issued a public notice that underlines the fact that I cannot adapt Guthi's character in a new show. That is equivalent to compelling me to stop working. But I won't stop. I am here to act. I might never have played Guthi again had things been sorted out amicably. But I don't like someone forcibly stopping me. Now, I want to retain the rights to the name. But if they get another actor playing Guthi on Comedy Nights With Kapil, I will not oppose because this show gave me a platform that changed my life. This controversy has only made me bigger.

Viacom18 says: We have sole, exclusive, absolute and unlimited ownership rights on all the intellectual property rights of the artiste associated with the programme including the rights in the format of the programme, the character of Guthi and/or mannerisms characteristics of Guthi.

Box office report: Both Sunny Deol and Kareena Kapoor Imran Khan’s films struggling at the box office

Neither Sunny Deol’s Singh Saab The Great nor the Kareena-Imran Khan starrer Gori Tere Pyaar Mein have managed to get the cash registers ringing. However, Sunny’s film is doing well at the single screens. So who has won this box office battle?

The jodi of Sunny Deol and Anil Sharma, who made box office history with Gadar – Ek Prem Katha hasn’t been able to attract movie goers this time around. Their out-and-out action flick Singh Saab The Great (SSTG) is having a tough time at the ticket windows. And the case is no different with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Imran Khan’s romcom Gori Tere Pyaar Mein (GTPM). According to Boxofficeindia, “Gori Tere Pyaar Main and Singh Saab The Great both opened below the mark. Gori Tere Pyaar Mein opened to a poor 25-30 percent all over. Singh Saab The Great managed good to decent collections in some parts like Punjab, UP and Rajasthan of around 40-50 percent but places like Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata were just 15-20 percent. At some single screen centres in the North it was housefull or near housefull but it makes little change to the overall picture.”

On the other hand, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh is still holding rock steady at the box office. “Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela had a very good first week of around Rs 75 crore nett with phenomenal business in Mumbai. The start of the second week has seen steady collections despite the film not showing in UP from Friday due to a ban,” reported Boxofficeindia.

If Ram-Leela continues its good run at the box office, then SSTG and GTPM’s first week collection may not be flattering. Also, Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Bullett Raja starring Saif Ali Khan and Sonakshi Sinha will release this week, wethinks it will make the numbers game even tougher for Sunny paaji and Kareena’s film!

Shahid Kapoor is the youngest action actor of Bollywood : Prabhu Dheva

His 'poora naam' is still waiting to be told on 6th December, once R... Rajkumar hits the screens. However Shahid Kapoor, who has been waiting for a clean hit for quite a while, is expectedly getting some good support from the people who trusted him to deliver goods when brought on board.

Even though Shahid's last film Phata Poster Nikhla Hero flopped, producers Sunil Lulla and Viki Rajani are leaving no stone unturned to promote and market R... Rajkumar aggressively en route its 6th December release.

"Why should we compromise," wonders Viki, "Shahid has been our family member. The release as well as promotion had to be of the highest levels. See, when Sachin scores a couple of ducks then you don't get him out of the team. Sometimes you have to give chance to people. They are human, they make mistakes. However just like Sachin is talented, so is Shahid. With R... Rajkumar, he will bounce back."

For Prabhu Dheva, who has worked with senior actors like Salman Khan (Wanted) and Akshay Kumar (Rowdy Rathore), it was time to bring Shahid out of the core 'pyaar' zone and introduce him to the world of 'maar' as well.

"Every story or film has its own tale to tell and sometimes actors select us directors, sometimes producers tell us whom to take and sometimes script dictates who is the right actor. Shahid is like a common man and the film needed one," the director says, "These kind of films make man on the street believe that when it comes to love, any villain can be defeated. Shahid brings that aspect really well and that too as the youngest action hero."

No wonder, the makers are confident that Shahid's rough patch is all set to end now and he would be back in the reckoning all over again.

"We know each other for 4-5 years and it was about time that we work together," says Viki, "The way he looks, dances, acts, he was waiting to do something different from what he had done before and the answer was R... Rajkumar. There was no apprehension that anyone was carrying since Prabhu Dheva has given two of the biggest action entertainers.

Moreover, he has done well with a newcomer (Girish Kumar in Ramaiya Vastavaiya) too."

Prabhu has the final word here. He says, "When a hero does something with heart, it shows and makes everything believable. Everyone knows that Shahid is a very talented artist. Now with the film, he is going to make it all count."

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan In Karan Johar's Next Film

Two of the three newbies, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, who made their debut with their Karan Johar's Student Of The Year will be back on screen together soon. Karan, who is currently producing films with debutant directors with the aim of encouraging new talent, has locked one more project. The film titled Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania will be helmed by debutant Shashank Khaitan and Varun and Alia have been signed for this venture.

Karan who is quite excited to work with his 'students' again, declared that the film will be a fun, warm and a crazy love story and it will be extensively shot in Punjab.

While the film is yet to go on floor, the release date of the film has been finalized on June 27, next year.
