Saif-Kareena don’t watch films, why?

Kareena Kapoor Khan had recently said that she hasn't watched much of Hindi cinema lately, including her cousin Ranbir Kapoor's Barfi, because her husband Saif Ali Khan refuses to see Bollywood films.

When asked the reason for this, considering both of them are Bollywood stars, Saif conceded that he has stopped watching all films. Stating that he doesn't like watching Hindi films or Hindi entertainment channels, the Bullett Raja actor explained, "I don't like watching television after coming from work and seeing the same thing. You have to refresh and recharge and then come back with something fresh. I don't think you really learn anything new by watching each other's movies."

Further, he said that he learns more by watching an American TV show. "Part of being an actor is exposure and that is what educates us. You travel the world, you meet new people, do new things and your approach to a shot changes. I don't think we should be too influenced by other films and actors here. There is no growth. Of course, it is good to be aware of what people are doing, but it has never mattered to me," he summed up.

Krrish 3's gross collection has crossed Rs. 500 crores

While some media reports allege that Hrithik Roshan-starrer 'Krrish 3' box-office collections have been inflated, director Rakesh Roshan begs to differ.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh rubbishes these reports and questions the intentions of trade analysts who are saying that the box-office numbers quoted by the director are gross and not net.

He further explains that he has been getting updates from all his distributors, exhibitors and from places where the film is running right from the first day itself. The process is detailed and full-proof.

Questioning the authenticity of those articles, Rakesh tells Bollywood Hungama that it is impossible for anyone to exaggerate an amount of Rs. 40-50 crores. There is no way one can inflate box-office collections.

According to his calculations, Rakesh Roshan quotes that Krrish 3 has finally made Rs 500 crore. He says if you calculate entertainment tax and everything else, then Krrish 3's gross collection has crossed Rs. 500 crores.

Finally Shruti Haasan summed up the courage to file an FIR against stalker on Wednesday at Bandra police station

A few days back, a fan of Shruti Haasan managed to come up to the door of her flat. While Shruti was able to save herself, the scary incident has shaken her up. Three days after the incident, she finally summed up the courage to file an FIR on Wednesday at Bandra police station.

She speaks for the first time exclusively to TOI about her nasty experience: "This man landed up at my place at 9.45 am on November 19. He came up to the flat and tried to enter in. He stuck his hand in, but I managed to close the door on his wrist. He pulled his hand out and once I saw him running down, I ran down after him with the hope that I might get the drivers or the building security to be able to stop him. I went over to my friend's place, but realised that he had come there, too. I had been seeing his face on my movie set for many days and now have images of him. I realised that he had been following me everywhere and knew all the places I went to. I was totally freaked out. It took me time to re-surface and sum up the courage to file an FIR that I have finally done on Wednesday. I also hope to get back to shooting in a few days' time."

worrying part is over about Shruti's career anymore: Kamal Haasan

Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan feels the period of worry for daughter Shruti's film career is over for him and he wants her to now focus on consolidating on her achievements.

The 27-year-old actress, singer and musician made her Bollywood debut with 2009 film 'Luck'. She juggles between the South Indian film industry and Bollywood and her father is happy to see that 10-film-old Shruti is getting to work with different filmmakers in different industries.

"She is doing her work to the best of her knowledge and to the best of my knowledge she is doing fine. I will admit that there was a moment of worry for both Shruti and me but now the worrying part is over. Now, it is all about developing it to the correct pitch. That is our only concern now," Kamal told PTI in an interview.

The "Vishwaroopam" star's other daughter Akshara is also set to make her film debut with 'Paa' director R Balki's next film opposite Tamil star Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut with 'Ranjhanaa'. Amitabh Bachchan also stars in the film.

"I think it is confirmed that she will star in Balki's film. I am happy for her and wish her all the best," the 59-year-old actor said on the sidelines of IFFI.

Having an illustrious film career spanning over five decades does make Kamal the best adviser for his two daughters, but the veteran says he hardly shares any tip or trivia with them when it comes to their work.

"I give very little or no input at all. It is mostly the DNA. Rest is their talent. I have no contribution in training them as actors or guiding them how to shape their careers. They will have to figure that out by themselves," he said.
