Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela will be pulled off from the cinemas in Noida and Ghaziabad

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh starrer Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela will be pulled off from the cinemas in Noida and Ghaziabad after the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court banned the screening of the film in UP until the words 'Ramleela' and 'Rasleela' are removed from the title.

Yogesh Raizada corporate head, Wave Cinemas, said, "It is a High Court ruling and we will abide by it. It will be applicable from today. Now, it is up to the distributor and production house to get the clearance from the court. But, commercially, it will not be a huge loss to us because it is the second week of the movie, and there are two big movies releasing today."

Rehan Ahmed of Big Cinemas said, "After getting a written notice, we will not be screening the movie, but I don't understand what is the parameter to ban the film now, a week after its release."

The judgement came over the the case filed by Maryada Purshottam Bhagwan Ramleela Samiti, Bahraich, on November 19, on wrong usage of the words Ramleela and Rasleela in the title.

Gulshan Devaiah’s earring woes in movie Ramleela

Not everything went well for Gulshan Devaiah, who plays the chief antagonist in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-leela. Since the movie is based in Gujarat , the actor had to wear traditional costumes and jewellery  for the film. A key element of that look being earrings.

Gulshan was initially excited with the idea of wearing the heavy earrings as the script, the look and the director demanded it but soon realised that they were pressing against his ear lobes and as a result gave him headaches and radiating pain down his neck & shoulders. “I spent hours, days trying to manipulate the shape of the earrings to fit my ears comfortably but it just didn’t work.  They were really painfully. I just had to put up with the pain it as the earrings were such an integral part of the brilliantly designed look.”

Gulshan plays the character of Bhavani. The movie is slated to release on 15th November, 2013.

Ram to his clan members: Agar balatkariyon ko saza nahi de sakte toh bandook daal do. (If we can't punish the rapists, throw the guns.)
Ranveer to Bhavani (he's speaking about Leela): Yeh darti naa toh chupke waar karti, Khullam khulla pyaar na karti (Had she been a coward, she would have attacked slyly. She wouldn't have loved me openly.)
Kesar to Leela's mother: Har goli ke saath ek beta nahi, ek maa bhi mar jaati hai (With every bullet that's fired, it isn't just a son that dies, his mother too dies.)
Ram to Leela: Jitni tu khoobsoorat hai na, Utni badi kamini bhi (You are as big a b**** as you are gorgeous looking.)
Ram's SMS to Leela: Green hai angoor, kele ka rang peela hai, Kehdo saari duniya se, Ram ki Leela hai
